We view litigation as
a business process. When disputes arise between our clients and
others, we know that the wealth of litigation, negotiation and alternative
dispute resolution options available are worth nothing if we do
not understand our clients' business needs and objectives. We prepare
our cases with the thought that they will be tried, and with the
understanding that trial preparation is the best way to assure a
verdict or settlement favorable to our clients. Every step of litigation
- from the initial consultation with the client through discovery,
negotiation and trial - is an opportunity to improve our client's
position. Where a business solution will solve a litigation problem,
then we work toward that solution. Our job is to help our clients
solve their business problems, and so we do not view litigation
as a zero sum game.
