Bio

Robert S. Brown was born in Far Rockaway, New York in 1964. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1990. He joined Shea & Gould as a corporate associate in 1989. In 1992 he joined Squadron, Ellenoff, Plesent & Sheinfeld as a corporate associate. He joined the firm as a co-founder in 1995.

Since joining the firm, Bob’s practice has focused on representing companies, investment banks, private equity and debt investors in corporate finance transactions, including public offerings, private placements, bridge, mezzanine and venture financing and mergers and acquisitions. In each case the transactions have generally involved technology companies.

Some representative transactions in which Bob has been involved include the initial public offering of Claimsnet.com, an Internet based healthcare transaction processing company, and Netgateway, Inc., an e-commerce transactions processor, and in the acquisition of assets of VHx Company by Claimsnet.com.
