Bio

Jane E. Herman was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  She is a member of the bar in New York and Pennsylvania and is admitted to practice in the United States Tax Court.  Jane began her practice in the tax group at Shea & Gould in 1985.  In 1998, she joined Ernst & Young, where she was a senior manager in the state and local tax group.  Jane joined RB&R as counsel in 2005.

Jane’s tax practice has included advising clients with respect to corporate transactions, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, executive compensation arrangements, exempt organizations, international transactions, state and local tax issues and tax controversy issues in the U.S. Tax Court, U.S. district courts, the Internal Revenue Service and New York and Pennsylvania state and local tax tribunals.
